Is it possible for mold to grow on furniture in a COLD but damp garage?

November 1, 2009 by: Admin

I have wooden dressers & a vanity that were in my damp but cold garage the last 2 1/2 months. We brought them inside after noticing they were getting dampened. There’s no physically evidence that mold has grown, but is it possible it has but I can’t see or smell any? I just didn’t want it to pose heath problems (if any) from storage clothing & undergarments inside of them.

    yes
    Mold THRIVES on damp conditions

My detached garage has a leaky roof, causing wet and damp conditions, and although I haven’t seen mold, the smell of it is obvious in the gargage.
